Undergraduate Programs
The Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences (ICS) offers a broad range of undergraduate majors and minors that cover virtually every area in the field of computing and prepare students for careers in industry, non-profits, or government or for advanced studies towards graduate and/or professional degrees.
Our undergraduate programs place an emphasis on fundamentals and lifelong learning, while promoting discovery and entrepreneurship through opportunities inside and outside the classroom. A set of foundational courses in mathematics and programming, supplemented by general education courses from other academic disciplines, forms their common underpinnings. A broad selection of upper-level electives across information and computer sciences exposes students to advanced topics and provides structured opportunities for experiential learning and engagement in research.
Selecting a Major
Whether you are looking to jump into a job in the tech industry, prepare for graduate-level studies that lead to a career in academia or advanced research, or are still undecided, ICS has the people, resources, and opportunities to help you find the path that is right for you.
ICS Honors Program
The ICS Honors Program provides students in an ICS major with opportunities to make the most of their time in the school by joining world-class ICS faculty in research projects, showcasing their research, and preparing to pursue graduate-level studies.
